Brow Care Instructions

FOLLOW THESE STEPS FOR GREAT BROWS.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Proper preparation for your appointment sets us up for success, lowers the chance of problems, and makes healing easier.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS

to care for your new brows

IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Approximately 30 minutes after your procedure, wet one of the cotton pads provided in your kit (you can also use a clean paper towel or napkin) with room temperature water. Then, gently wipe or pat your brows with the damp pad and fan dry.

Wait an additional 30 minutes then repeat once. This will help prevent potential scabbing from lymph build up.

THE FOLLOWING
DAYS 2-10:

After washing your hands, wet a cotton pad with room temperature/lukewarm water and gently wipe your brows in the direction of the hair growth. Avoid excessive scrubbing.

Pat or dab your brows dry with a clean paper towel or clean washcloth. Avoid using a body towel - they carry bacteria.

With your fingertip, apply a rice grain amount of After Care Balm (this will be enough for both brows - do not use too much balm). Use balm 2x daily for 7-10 days.

The balm provided should be enough for both your initial and touch up session. Please don’t discard the balm after your first appointment!

THINGS TO AVOID:

- Keep eyebrows dry (avoid them being submerged in water for too long; ex. swimming or sauna). Quick showers/washing face is fine, just avoid the eyebrow area. Steamy hot showers will open pores and soften scabs, so avoid this! Try to avoid shampoo / conditioner running down into brows. Use the provided shower shields for added protection!

- When brows are flaking/peeling, do not pick or scratch at them! This can pull pigment out of the skin!

- No sweating/exercise, tanning, direct sun exposure, waxing or threading.

- No makeup, eyebrow pencil, lotion or other facial products on the eyebrows. Keep anti-aging and acne products off forehead during healing process.

- If necessary, use an eyebrow pencil to touch up after eyebrows heal COMPLETELY.

ONGOING
CARE TIPS:

Wear SPF on your brows daily to prevent premature fading. Cannasmack Ink Guard on Amazon is great for targeted SPF application on the brow area.

Avoid retinols, AHAs/BHAs, or other products that encourage skin cell turnover on or near the brow area. Even if not placed directly on the brows, these active ingredients can still affect your permanent makeup once absorbed. Using these products on the forehead will lead to quicker fading and can cause an ashier appearance to the brows over time.

Skin treatments like microneedling, lasers, and peels will fade your permanent makeup faster. Ask your technician to avoid the brow area if receiving these treatments!

*Please Note: Effects vary, some skin types may not retain color as well. Most clients will need two sessions; some will only need one and some will need a third to achieve ideal results. FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.
